Science Internship Program: Translational Medicine (Non-Clinical)

Translational medicine analyzes observations and discovers interventions in pre-clinical settings with the goal of improving the health of individuals and the public. The Translational Medicine track of the Science Internship Program is designed to increase high school students' interest and mastery in science by expanding their learning experiences beyond the classroom and exposing them to potential career pathways in the selected internship program.

This nine-week, paid internship provides rising high school juniors and seniors who live and attend school in Northeast Ohio with the opportunity to work and learn alongside nationally-renowned physicians, scientists, researchers, and other health care professionals from Cleveland Clinic in a wide range of medical and scientific research-related specialties. Students develop teamwork and focus on areas including comprehensive research, innovation, development of new technology, education, and development of better, more efficient ways to pioneer quality in patient care.
