The Cleveland Clinic Louis Stokes Internship Program

The Louis Stokes Internship Program is a six-week summer internship that honors Congressman Louis Stokes’ legacy of public service and his longstanding commitment to the youth of Cleveland. It provides rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Cleveland, East Cleveland, and Warrensville with real-world experience in non-clinical/business focused areas of healthcare, such as Administration, Buildings & Properties/ Engineering, Community Outreach, Hospitality, Human Resources, Information Technology, Law Department, Marketing, Protective Services & more.


Cleveland Clinic Louis Stokes Internship Program: Administration

(Grade 9 or Grade 10 at time of application; Age > 15 by June 1, 2020. See Eligibility tab on each track for more detail.)
This six-week, non-clinical, business focused internship program engages students in the areas of healthcare that include administration, community outreach, executive administration, finance, human resources, international business operations, law, marketing, and communications, philanthropy, and supply chain.


Cleveland Clinic Louis Stokes Internship Program: Customer/Support Services

(Grade 9 or Grade 10 at time of application; Age > 15 by June 1, 2020. See Eligibility tab on each track for more detail.)
This six-week, non-clinical, business focused internship program focuses on providing patient support services for an overall positive experience while in the hospital. These areas include Healing Services & Spiritual Care, patient navigation, patient transport, Red Coat, and surgical support.


Cleveland Clinic Louis Stokes Internship Program: Integrative Arts & Technology

(Grade 9 or Grade 10 at time of application; Age > 15 by June 1, 2020. See Eligibility tab on each track for more detail.)
This six-week, non-clinical, business focused internship program immerses students in the areas of healthcare that include art & music therapy, arts & medicine, functional medicine, health information management, information technology, medical arts, graphics, and photography.


Cleveland Clinic Louis Stokes Internship Program: Operations

This six-week, non-clinical, business focused internship program encourages students' interest areas of healthcare that are designed to monitor and manage all of the processes within the hospital setting, including architecture & design, biomedical engineering, criminal justice/protective services, engineering, buildings and properties, hospitality, and innovations.
