Summer Internship Programs 

The Cleveland Clinic Office of Civic Education Initiatives' Summer Internship Program was designed to increase students' interest and proficiency in science and math by expanding their learning experiences beyond the classroom.

The internships are designed to promote learning in STEMM+Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine, + health and wellness, the arts, innovation, financial literacy, and more. The program's goal is to inspire students to not only
embrace the STEMM+ disciplines as keys to
success, but to also foster life-long learning.


Creative Learning Internship Program

This internship engages Northeast Ohio regional high school students in the creative exploration of science.


Health Horizons Internship Program

In collaboration with Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.), this internship provides "at promise" high school students the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced world-renowned healthcare professionals at Cleveland Clinic experiencing individualized, structured mentorship in various health professions and in the STEMM+™ disciplines.


Healthcare+ Pathways™ Program

This two-week program provides rising high school freshmen with unique career exploration opportunities in the biomedical and health sciences, and gives students the opportunity to learn from world-renowned healthcare professionals.


Medical Laboratory Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students with the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced Cleveland Clinic medical laboratory professionals and gain exposure to the wide range of career paths in pathology and medical laboratory science offered at Cleveland Clinic.


NEOREMA™ Internship Program

This year-round internship program provides rising high school sophomores with real-world experiences in the biomedical sciences, and gives students the opportunity to work alongside professionals from Cleveland Clinic, Cuyahoga Community College and Kent State University.


Pharmacy Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students with the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced Cleveland Clinic pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, research pharmacists and other pharmacy specialists and gain exposure to the wide range of pharmacy career paths offered at Cleveland Clinic.


Public Health Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students the opportunity to work and learn alongside nationally-renowned Cleveland Clinic physicians and researchers and gain exposure to the wide range of career paths in public health offered at Cleveland Clinic.


Radiology Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students with the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced radiology professionals at Cleveland Clinic and gain exposure to the wide range of career paths in radiology offered at Cleveland Clinic.


Respiratory Care Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced Cleveland Clinic respitory care professionals and gain exposure to the wide range of career paths in respiratory care offered at Cleveland Clinic.


Science Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students with the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced, nationally-renowned Cleveland Clinic health care professionals and gain exposure to the wide range of career paths in science and medicine offered at Cleveland Clinic.


Science for Nursing Internship Program

This internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students with the opportunity to work and learn alongside Cleveland Clinic nurses who have earned Magnet status and/or Pathways to Excellence, two of the highest national ranking for nursing excellence.
