School-Based Programs

The Civic Education Department is proud to offer
School-Based programs that extend the resources and
expertise of Cleveland Clinic to the classroom.

Aligned with academic content standards, these interdisciplinary initiatives are designed to improve health and wellness, promote academic achievement, and foster career preparedness for students in grades pre-K through 12.

Through hands-on, authentic learning experiences, students develop the 21st century skills they need to be successful not only today, but throughout their entire lives.

Health Unleashed!

Built around the Rex Rules! storybook series, Health Unleashed! delivers fun-filled, hands-on health and literacy lessons for grades K–2.

Dangerous Decibels®

Dangerous Decibels® is a free, school-based program designed to teach 4th through 5th graders the concepts of noise-induced hearing loss prevention.


This interdisciplinary line of programs utilizes peer-to-peer learning to immerse middle and high school students in the creative exploration of science.
