K–12 Addresses COVID-19

As COVID-19 stay-at-home orders extend across the country keeping school buildings closed, Cleveland Clinic K–12 Education’s School Programs Department recognizes the increased need for online educational resources and programs. With this in mind, the team has updated its resources page with COVID-19-relevent lesson plans and related assets, and has amplified its spring schedule of connected learning offerings, giving educators opportunities to enroll in free web-based learning sessions that their students and students’ parents and guardians can then register to participate in from home.

On April 14, COVID-19 Overview: Elementary (Grades K–5) and COVID-19 Overview: Middle and High School (Grades 6–12) will give students the opportunity to join Dr. Kristin Englund from Cleveland Clinic’s Infectious Disease Department as she provides information on COVID-19, shares best safety practices, and answers questions. And special “home” editions of Health Unleashed! (Grades K–2), EXPLORERS (Grades 3–5), and Worldwide Classroom (Grades 6-12) will help students and their families stay healthy and manage stress throughout the month of April and beyond.
