Medical Laboratory Internship Program
In collaboration with the Robert J. Tomsich Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute, the Medical Laboratory Internship Program expands high school students’ knowledge of and exposure to the wide range of career paths in pathology and medical laboratory science offered at Cleveland Clinic.
This nine-week, paid internship provides top Northeast Ohio regional high school students with the opportunity to work and learn alongside experienced medical laboratory professionals such as medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians, cytotechnologists and cytotechnicians, histotechnologists and histotechnicians, cytogenetics technologists, molecular genetics technologists, pathologists & molecular pathologists, pathology assistants, chemists, geneticists, hematologists, microbiologists, virologists, and laboratory informatics analysts.
Through hands-on learning and individualized mentoring, selected students who have an interest in the career of pathology and medical laboratory science are provided with individually structured, full-time, science-related learning experiences during the summer.
